Setting and Powering a New Outdoor Equipment Cabinet

Some jobs call for more than wiring. They call for heavy lifting, careful planning, and safe work right next to moving traffic. This project brought all of that together in one busy roadside spot.

The Challenge

A commercial site needed a large outdoor equipment cabinet set in place and wired for power. The cabinet was big and heavy, far too much to move by hand, so it had to be lifted and set with care. The job also sat right next to a busy road, which meant the crew had to work safely with cars passing close by the whole time. To make it harder, the setup called for underground cable, so the team had to work below ground and above ground at the same time. Every part had to line up just right for the cabinet to power on and run the way it should.

Our Work

Commercial Electrical Equipment Installation

Our crew started by planning the lift and clearing a safe work zone. We used a crane to raise the heavy cabinet and lower it slowly onto its concrete pad, lining it up with care so it sat square and steady. From there, the team pulled cable through the underground vaults and ran the power lines the cabinet needed to work. We set strong protective posts around the unit to guard it from cars and snow plows, a smart step for any cabinet that sits close to a road. Then we wired the meter and the disconnect so the cabinet had safe, steady power it could count on. Every step got checked before we moved on to the next, and we tested the power once the work was done to make sure it all held up.

The Result

The cabinet was set, wired, and powered up, ready to do its job. The site got a clean, safe install built to stand up to the weather and the heavy use that comes with a roadside spot. The protective posts keep it safe from traffic, and the wiring was done to last. The client walked away with a finished setup that works the way it should and is ready to serve for years to come.
